The Get S*** Done Club (GSD)

Get S*** Done Club (GSD)

Come together for Community, Connection, and Support.

4pm ET/1pm PT - 1 hour

A few years back a small group of sisters and friends got together to get projects done like paint a room, organize a closet, make curtains, and hang pictures. These projects needed to get done but always fell to the back of the burner. Also, it was not fun doing these alone. They formed the GET S..T (STUFF) DONE CLUB. Their collective efforts paid off and they accomplished so much and yes had a great time!

A few months back as I was ramping up my speaking business I had so much to get done and I found myself overwhelmed and was procrastinating. I had those necessary but boring tasks to get done, like updating my contact lists, but I just couldn’t find the time. If I did find the time, I found myself multi-tasking and got very little done on a lot of things. Also, you can’t believe the number of interruptions, like cell phone alerts pinging. This affected my productivity. The light bulb went off!!! I needed a virtual GET S..T (STUFF) DONE CLUB.

We have formed a virtual GSD Club and here are the basics:

  1. Once a week we have a video call (same time, same place)

  2. The video call lasts an hour-we stick to the time limit!

  3. We have a designated moderator

  4. We will go over some of the basics and create break-out groups of up to 5 people (I call them pods).

  5. The first fifteen minutes each participant shares what they want to accomplish (Up to 3 minutes each)

  6. We start our individual projects leaving our video’s on with sound muted

  7. After ½ hour the moderator gets back on and each participant shares what they accomplished, what were any barriers, and other reflections (including sometimes useful tips)! Again, each participant has up to 3 minutes

  8. We end the call with a HIGH FIVE

The results:

  • I think I can speak to all participants and say:

  •  You can’t imagine how much we each individually got done in 30 focused minutes.

  • If we didn’t get something done -we learned why (those darn distractions).

  • We changed our behavior to get things done.

  • We relish the camaraderie (especially now) and appreciate the benefit of accountability.

This connection opportunity is open to all, and you can join from wherever you are!

The event is open to everybody - Invite your friends and family!
