We are excited to invite you to a study group for A Course In Miracles! If you've ever read, or tried to read A Course In Miracles then you probably understand why study groups are formed for it. If you haven't read ACIM, you're in for a treat. As it says in the very beginning, "This is a required course." It is the only book I've ever read that actually guides you step by step into a new psychology.
ACIM reads more like a textbook than a typical book on spirituality. In fact, it is actually a course in mind training. It contains a theoretical (the text) and a practical (the lessons) section. When I first began studying the course I was gifted with a syllabus. The syllabus makes the course much more tangible by breaking it down into 365 bite-size pieces. :)
Each week we will share and discuss the reading and lessons from the previous week. Many are turned off by the seeming complexity of the material, but the study group is intended to assist with the practicality and application of the material. The group is also intended to support everyone in their personal growth because after all, isn't that what we all want?
We will be using the Foundation for Inner Peace version of A Course in Miracles. You can find the Kindle version for about $9 here. You can also order the paperback version at the same link but Amazon has deprioritized everything except household items so it may take a while. You do not need to have the book for the first meeting this coming Monday. We will discuss what the class will look like so you can check it out before you make the commitment of buying the book.
The Course changed my perception of the world, myself, my relationships, and my concept of God. We cannot wait to undertake this life-changing journey with you.
