Limits to Inquiry

The only limitation to what can be experienced and known through inquiry is our capacity for vulnerability.  Literally, I mean that there is infinite depth and capacity in inquiry.  We are each limited by our attachment to ego, identity, emotions, self-concept.As I work with clients there are moments of deep vulnerability (I don’t mean weakness or victimhood, I mean openness) that open them to knowing and understanding in a way that is deeply satisfying.  As a coach and mentor I can be either a boon or a limitation to vulnerability but in no way do I have the knowing for you.  You have vast resources of which you have not even begun to tap into.  This is the excitement and possibility of inquiry.  We never know when we will dip into that deep well, but the insight and improvement in life that results from it, keeps us coming back to the well once we have drunk from it.Over the last 20 years I have become better and better at creating a space for this inquiry and you can develop this skill too.  With practice and through dedication to your own growth and work you can develop your capacity for holding space for inquiry; at the most basic level this just means that you have become so safe that you create a field of safety and groundedness that allows others to experience their knowing.
